joomla 1.5+ native system plugin to merge CSS and JavaScript files, compress HTML output, remove HTML comments, gZip JS and CSS files. This plugin requires PHP5. Once you get it setup and your site is working, you probably gain lots of YSlow points, reduce HTTP requests and File I/O on your server.

Please note that not all options are available on all platforms / server configurations. This plugin is intended for fast runtime delivery and not to work out of the box on any template. HTML output optimizing is a tricky task. If you can't get your template render correctly 10mins after installation, this plugin if probably not for you. In this case, please try alternatives like CssJsCompress or JACompress.
