This module displays a K2 Icon on Joomla! backend Control Panel next to the Joomla Quickicons like "Global Configuration" or "Article Manager". K2 Quickicon is a short link to your K2 component Control Panel in Joomla Backend.
If you have set "Enable comment auto-publishing" in the K2 Configuration (K2/Parameters) to "no" and there are existing unpublished comments, this icon will display an info-button (changed icon) and the number of comments, that are waiting to become published.
Installation
- Install this module with the Joomla Backend Installation Routine
- navigate to Extensions/Modulemanager
- here click ADMINISTRATOR!
- edit the "K2 Quickicon" module
- in Editmode choose "icon" as moduleposition (Details->Position->icons)
- enable the module
- click on save
- Now you should change the Order of this module. Move the "K2 Quickicon" module below the module "Quick-Icons"
- save this order
- Finally click on Side/ Control Panel and you should see this K2 Icon at the last position after all other Joomla Quickicons.
This module was inspired by the "AlphaUserPoints Icon Module" from Bernard Gilly (Alphaplug.com) which is integrated in
Alpha User Points.
