mod_jtwitter

Mod_Jtwitter is a Joomla module. It enables the well-known twitter bird to fly around within a webpage. The animation works via javascript that is automatically incorporated into the webpage. The tripleflap places itself on different elements of the webpage. If you scrol down it follows descreetly and sits down on a new element. The bird will move and sit down on a different element if you move your cursor over it a few times. You can enter a twitter account via Backend. The animated bird is an CSS-Sprite. The idea of the flying bird and the specific javascript are taken from floern.com. Configuration Mod_JTwitter is easy to handle. It can be installed via Joomla Backend with Joomla universal Installer. Now you can adjust the settings under Joomla->Modules J Twitter. JTwitter needs to be activated first. Then the module position must be specified in Joomla Frontend. If you selected “xhtml”-style in J-Template you need to deactivate “show title”. You can enter a twitter account in the right hand menu of the settings panel. Now the follow-me button should work. Of course it is also possible to display the mod_jtwitter panel on several individual pages as usual. Multiple twitter birds within one domain: Additional mod_jtwitter modules can be created by using the “copy” or “new” button, as it can be done with all Joomla modules. Only one tripleflap per page will be handed out.
