Set Modified Date

The Joomla module mod_latestnews allows you to show either the most recently created articles OR the most recently modified articles on top of the recent articles list. What if you want to show BOTH newly created articles AND recently modified articles on the top of the list? You can't do it because Joomla sets the "modified date" for new articles to "0". This little plugin solves the problem by setting the "modified date" of new articles equal to the creation date. That way, when you set mod_latestnews to sort by "Recently Modified" first, it will put the most recent articles at the top of the list regardless if they are brand new articles, or recently modified articles. This way, you are always sure that BOTH the newest articles and recently modified articles always appear at the top of the list.
