setplus is an extremely lightweight cross-browser HTML editor built on top of the MooTools JavaScript framework included with Joomla. It provides both a document editor that follows the "what you see is what you get" (WYSIWYG) concept and a source editor with HTML syntax highlighting. Document editor tools include text formatting (bold, italic, subscript, superscript, color, etc.), paragraph formatting (headings, alignment, indent, numbered and bulletted list), insertion (Unicode symbol, link and image), undo and redo, zoom controls, full screen view, document block structure view.
The goal of setplus is to provide a simple yet powerful editor interface for modern browsers without imposing significant extra overhead in network transmission payload. The total size of the basic editor is around 60 KB (including images), further reducible with compression, which is by far less than the footprint of popular editors. setplus loads fast, and imports additional resources (such as dialogs) on-demand.
setplus has been tested with Firefox 3+, IE 8+ and Chrome.
